Satellite High Speed
Remsat uses satellite high-speed systems for your remote site when terrestrial options are no longer possible. When multiple high-speed satellite systems are coupled with our load balancing router, we can provide a highly redundant reliable network for deployment of large remote sites. We currently use the new Ka-Band frequency for most of our locations, which works very well. Our phone system is designed to be compatible with high-latency networks. These satellite systems are able to work well past the Beaufort Sea, so no matter where you are, we can have full communications brought to you.
Wireless Backhaul
Using a wireless backhaul off of a fiber optic connection, we can get you up to 300Mb/s to your site. This works great for very large applications as well as small. If you are within approximately 100 miles from any small town, we should be able to bring a fiber connection to your site. Depending on the site, some locations may need a tower constructed. A simple site survey provided by Remsat will determine what best suits your needs.
Wiring and Infrastructure
There are many convenient ways to enable proper deployment of your phone and internet services. Some are very basic, and some converge many different services into one line. The following are just a few different options available:
- Ethernet Cabling – We can wire your location with Ethernet into each room, and into the offices. This will allow us to deploy phone and internet services over the same line, eliminating wiring the camps twice. We can use your existing conduits, or we can wire from the bottom of the units.
- CMTS (Cable Modem Termination System) – This is a great route to go for deploying phone, internet, and satellite TV. By using the existing cable infrastructure that is common on most locations, we can insert phone and internet through the same line. This works very well with large and small deployment applications, and can easily be scalable. This saves considerable time and money for completing your site.
- Wireless – By going this route we can eliminate almost all cabling required on location for the deployment of phone and internet services. We can have access points in any room that you wish to deploy phone services. Any internet can be accessed by most lab tops today by their internal wireless card.
